Here are some nice pictures and descriptions of my films. To see a clip of each one, click on the bit that says Watch clip. Or on the pictures on the left, if you'd rather. Freedom of choice, that.

Seven Primary School Spaces

This film documents various empty spaces in a Scottish primary school. The sound for each shot was recorded at a different time, when the space was occupied.

Malcy's Horses

In October 2006, the comic book artist Malcy Duff decided to get rid of all of the horses in his head, by drawing them. This is a film that I made about it.

Allotments

This is a short film, shot on Super 8, about some of Edinburgh's allotment sites. The music in this little clip is by Lonely, Alaska.

The Suicide's Grave

In 1823, a letter was published in Blackwood's, a popular Edinburgh journal. It described the circumstances surrounding the suicide and burial of a young man in the Borders of Scotland. In 2006, we went to look for his grave.

Pre-2

A film documenting a performance by ambient guitar duo Pre-, held in an office high above the streets of Glasgow.

Views

An alternative look at Edinburgh, as seen through the eyes of the some of the musicians who live and work there.

Anna

How much can you tell about a person by looking at the objects they own? A portrait of Anna, artist and owner of a rather large collection of pens.

Largs Hum

There is a mysterious hum in Largs, a small seaside town on the west coast of Scotland. Swimmer One wrote a song about it; this is the film that accompanies that song.
